It's used in cosmetics for more than 50 years and it is researched very well. A great component to counter dryness!

Citric acid belongs to alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA). It's a good exfoliant. It helps to get rid of dead skin cells and thus to prevent acne. It&rsquo;s not as effective as glycolic or lactic acids but still, it's a nice ingredient in a product.
